The purposes of this course are:
- Identify and define briefly the various philosophies (points of view) and/or ideological concepts that have influenced and molded our culture and society. As a result, the student can understand how some of these philosophies have influenced the life of the Church of Jesus Christ. We will be comparing these different human philosophies (secular) with a biblical perspective.
- Emphasize in the student the need for the discipline of the “renewal of the mind.”
- Lastly, this course is designed to produce in each student a desire to develop disciples of the Kingdom and for the Kingdom.
- As a result, we will have a quality of disciples characterized by a passion and ability to “contend for the faith that it was given to them.” (Jud. 1:3). This is known as Apostolic Apologetic.

God is the source and initiator of all missions being fulfilled in the world today according to His eternal plan of redeeming mankind. He is a master communicator in all languages and cultures because all nations and languages were created by Him (Acts 17:26-31; Rev. 7:9-10; Gen. 11:1-9). This course is designed to give the student a comprehensive overview of the theology of missions and cross-cultural communication.
- Profesor: Agapito Avila
The purpose of this course is twofold: to set forth a solid theological foundation for Church planting and to provide practical information on how to plant new churches that will reproduce after their own kind.

This course provides a biblical perspective on afflictions and how the church should respond to them.
The history of the Church is vast in its entirety. It would be too much to try to cover it within the limitations of this course. Therefore, its intention is to present the student with a panoramic perspective of the history of the Church, emphasizing events, times and characters that God sovereignly used to give light, form, development, and care to His people through all the circumstances he faced. This is in order for the student to gain an appreciation for the following:
- The sovereignty of God and His glory showing up in His chosen people throughout all generations.
- That the student is able to identify and value the events, movements, truths, and historical people that have been key to the development and preservation of the Church of Christ.
- That the student can discover in what current historical context he is so that he has an awareness of the call, purpose, and assignment that he has in these present times of the history of the Church.
